Keep critical systems running. Take ownership where it matters. At Tribe Engineering, you work on electrical and electromechanical systems that need to perform — whether that's at an industrial site in the Netherlands or on an international assignment. You investigate faults, solve technical challenges and help customers get their installations running reliably. You won't be sitting behind the same desk every day. You'll work with different technologies, customers and environments, supported by a team that values technical expertise, initiative and people who get things done.
Field Service Engineer
EUR 3,900 – 5,000 / month
I'M INTERESTED ↗THE JOB
What you’ll actually be doing.
As a Field Service Engineer, you're the person customers rely on when technical problems need practical solutions.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical faults in industrial installations and machinery.
- Carry out inspections, maintenance, repairs and technical modifications.
- Support commissioning, testing and the start-up of equipment and systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, technical documentation and schematics.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements that increase reliability.
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues about progress, findings and solutions.
- Work on projects throughout the Netherlands and, when required, internationally.
You'll have the freedom to approach technical challenges independently while knowing that experienced colleagues are there when you need them.
YOUR SKILLS
What you bring to the table.
We're looking for an engineer who enjoys understanding how systems work — and figuring out why they sometimes don't.
- Completed technical education at MBO level 4 or higher, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience in field service, maintenance, industrial engineering or technical troubleshooting.
- Confidence reading electrical schematics and working safely on technical installations.
- A practical, analytical mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Professional English communication skills. Dutch is strongly preferred.
- A valid category B driving licence and willingness to travel internationally.
- VCA and NEN 3140 VP certification are preferred. STIPEL is an advantage.
Don't have every certification yet? Where relevant, Tribe can support you in obtaining the qualifications you need.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
The benefits. Without the corporate fluff.
Gross monthly salary: €3,900–€5,000, based on a 40-hour working week, excluding holiday allowance and applicable additional compensation.
- Permanent employment.
- 25 vacation days per year.
- €25 monthly sports budget.
- Opportunities for professional development, technical training and certifications.
- Company lease car for this technical field role, subject to availability and applicable arrangements.
- Overtime compensation, with the applicable arrangements discussed during the hiring process.
- A varied mix of Dutch projects and international assignments.
- Direct communication, short lines and room to take responsibility.
