I'M INTERESTED ↗

Start your engineering career where the real work happens. At Tribe Engineering, you won't spend your first years watching from the sidelines. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, discover how industrial installations operate and develop the skills to solve technical challenges yourself. From industrial machinery to complex electrical systems, every project gives you the opportunity to learn something new. In the Netherlands and, when you're ready, internationally.

01

THE JOB

What you’ll actually be doing.

As a Junior Field Service Engineer, you'll develop your technical skills by working on real installations with support from experienced colleagues.

  • Assist with inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical systems.
  • Support experienced engineers during repairs, modifications and commissioning activities.
  • Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings and documentation.
  • Help identify technical faults and understand their underlying causes.
  • Carry out technical tasks independently as your experience and confidence grow.
  • Document your work and communicate findings with colleagues and customers.
  • Gain experience across different projects, technologies and industrial environments.

We don't expect you to know everything on day one. We do expect curiosity, initiative and the motivation to become a better engineer.

02

YOUR SKILLS

What you bring to the table.

We're looking for someone who enjoys technology, asks questions and wants to turn technical knowledge into practical experience.

  • Completed relevant technical education at MBO level 4 or higher, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 0–2 years of relevant technical experience. Motivated recent graduates are welcome.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, schematics and safe working practices.
  • A hands-on mentality, willingness to learn and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility.
  • Professional English communication skills. Dutch is strongly preferred.
  • A valid category B driving licence and willingness to travel internationally.
  • VCA and NEN 3140 VP certification are preferred. STIPEL is an advantage.

Where relevant, Tribe can help you obtain the certifications needed for your role.

03

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

The benefits. Without the corporate fluff.

Gross monthly salary: €3,200–€3,900, based on a 40-hour working week, excluding holiday allowance and applicable additional compensation.

  • Permanent employment.
  • 25 vacation days per year.
  • €25 monthly sports budget.
  • Practical guidance and opportunities to learn from experienced engineers.
  • Technical training, professional development and relevant certifications.
  • Company lease car for this technical field role, subject to availability and applicable arrangements.
  • Overtime compensation, with the applicable arrangements discussed during the hiring process.
  • Opportunities to work on projects in the Netherlands and internationally.
  • A supportive team where asking questions and taking initiative are encouraged.
