I'M INTERESTED ↗

The more complex the system, the more interesting the challenge. Some technical problems require more than following a commissioning checklist. They demand experience, analytical thinking and the ability to understand how multiple systems interact. That's where you come in. As a Senior Commissioning Specialist at Tribe Engineering, you'll work on demanding electrical and automation projects where your expertise makes a measurable difference. You'll solve complex commissioning issues, optimise system performance and help customers overcome technical challenges that require specialist knowledge. You'll remain hands-on, with the freedom to apply your expertise across different industries and international projects.

01

THE JOB

What you’ll actually be doing.

As a Senior Commissioning Specialist, you're the technical expert people turn to when commissioning becomes complex.

  • Independently execute and troubleshoot complex commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Analyse advanced electrical, control and automation-related problems.
  • Investigate interactions between electrical systems, PLC controls, instrumentation and mechanical equipment.
  • Develop practical solutions to technical issues that affect performance, reliability or project completion.
  • Perform advanced functional testing, system integration checks and performance verification.
  • Support complex FAT, SAT and acceptance procedures.
  • Identify recurring technical issues and recommend engineering improvements.
  • Provide technical advice to customers, engineers and project stakeholders.
  • Mentor commissioning engineers and share specialist knowledge.
  • Produce clear technical reports, findings and recommendations.

Your value lies in understanding the complete technical picture, not simply completing individual tasks.

02

YOUR SKILLS

What you bring to the table.

We're looking for a highly capable engineer who enjoys difficult technical challenges and takes pride in finding the right solution.

  • Completed relevant technical education at MBO level 4 or higher, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in commissioning, industrial automation or complex electrical installations.
  • Strong expertise in electrical systems, commissioning procedures and systematic fault-finding.
  • Good understanding of industrial control systems, PLC environments and system integration.
  • Experience diagnosing complex technical issues across multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to interpret advanced technical documentation, schematics and system specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions independently.
  • Experience communicating with customers and advising technical project teams.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and support the development of other engineers.
  • Professional English communication skills. Dutch is strongly preferred.
  • A valid category B driving licence and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Relevant VCA and NEN 3140 qualifications are preferred. STIPEL and specialist certifications are advantages.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

The benefits. Without the corporate fluff.

Gross monthly salary: €5,800–€7,100, based on a 40-hour working week, excluding holiday allowance and applicable additional compensation.

  • Permanent employment.
  • 25 vacation days per year.
  • €25 monthly sports budget.
  • Complex technical assignments that genuinely require specialist expertise.
  • Freedom to investigate problems and develop effective engineering solutions.
  • Opportunities to work on high-impact industrial and international projects.
  • Specialist training, professional development and relevant certifications.
  • Company lease car for this technical field role, subject to availability and applicable arrangements.
  • Overtime compensation, with applicable arrangements discussed during the hiring process.
