I'M INTERESTED ↗

When the problem gets complicated, you're the engineer people call. At Tribe Engineering, we work on industrial installations where technical expertise, sound judgement and reliability matter. As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you take ownership of complex technical challenges, work independently in demanding environments and help customers keep their systems performing. You'll combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, supporting less experienced colleagues without losing the practical side of the job. Your expertise takes you to different customers, technologies and locations — throughout the Netherlands and internationally.

01

THE JOB

What you’ll actually be doing.

As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you take responsibility for diagnosing, resolving and preventing complex technical problems.

  • Independently troubleshoot advanced electrical and electromechanical faults in industrial installations and machinery.
  • Perform complex inspections, repairs, modifications and technical interventions.
  • Lead technical fault-finding activities and determine effective, practical solutions.
  • Support commissioning, testing and the start-up of equipment and systems.
  • Analyse recurring failures and recommend improvements to system reliability and performance.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers and project stakeholders.
  • Guide junior and medior engineers, share knowledge and support their professional development.
  • Document technical findings, interventions and recommendations clearly.
  • Work independently on projects in the Netherlands and internationally.

You'll be trusted to make technical decisions, communicate your reasoning and take responsibility for the quality of your work.

02

YOUR SKILLS

What you bring to the table.

We're looking for an experienced engineer who combines deep technical knowledge with a practical approach and a strong sense of ownership.

  • Completed relevant technical education at MBO level 4 or higher, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial field service, maintenance, commissioning or technical troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial installations and fault-finding methodologies.
  • Ability to analyse complex technical problems and translate findings into reliable solutions.
  • Experience working independently at customer sites and communicating with technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to coach colleagues and share technical knowledge.
  • Professional English communication skills. Dutch is strongly preferred.
  • A valid category B driving licence and willingness to travel internationally.
  • VCA and NEN 3140 VP certification are preferred. STIPEL is an advantage.

Relevant additional qualifications can be supported by Tribe where needed.
