On site at the airport with TRIBE.

To perform these operations, the team must possess the correct certifications and access rights. Among other requirements, engineers obtain a NEN 3140 VP certification. This then grants them access to installations such as passenger boarding bridges, ground power units, and pre-conditioned air units.

The operations consist of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Once a malfunction is reported, rapid action is required. Engineers ensure they are on-site within a short timeframe so that systems are quickly available again. This is essential in an environment where delays have a direct impact on operations.

Within electrical maintenance at the airport, the emphasis lies on reliability and safety. Installations must function correctly under all conditions. For this reason, engineers work according to fixed procedures and maintain continuous coordination with other teams involved.

What characterizes this work is the dynamic nature of the environment. One moment a passenger boarding bridge is being repaired, while shortly after, a malfunction in a ground power unit is resolved. As a result, tasks follow one another in quick succession and the work remains technically challenging.

Furthermore, working at an airport requires accuracy and collaboration. Through short lines of communication and clear coordination, operations remain manageable. This contributes to a stable operation where technology and logistics come together.

In these types of projects, TRIBE Engineering demonstrates how electrical maintenance at the airport contributes to a reliable and continuously operating infrastructure.
