Crane automation: improving control and safety

Our involvement in technical challenges is clearly demonstrated in a recent project concerning the automation of a large crane. In this project, the focus was not only on the automation of the crane itself, but also on the further development of the remote control. This unit was converted into a control center that supports both functionality and safety.

For our colleague, this represented a technically challenging project. With his hardware expertise and practical approach, he expanded the remote control with additional functionalities. Furthermore, he integrated supplementary safety measures that make the operation of the crane more predictable.

By applying sensors and feedback mechanisms, the crane now operates with greater precision. At the same time, the interface has become more intuitive for the operator. New functions have also been added that contribute to a more stable work process. As a result, the installation aligns more effectively with the daily practical operations in which the crane is deployed.

This project demonstrates how technical adjustments directly impact the operation of an installation. Combining hardware expertise with practical application results in a solution that works effectively in the field.

TRIBE Engineering does not only operate within machine building. We also provide technical support within the maritime sector and general industry. Our focus lies on commissioning, hardware engineering, and PLC and software engineering. Within these disciplines, we support the improvement and integration of technical systems.
