What will you be doing?
As a Commissioning Engineer at TRIBE, you will work independently or with colleagues on the commissioning and delivery of industrial machinery and installations. You are responsible for the on-site commissioning phase, taking both the technical and organizational lead toward the client and the project team.
Following pre-commissioning, you ensure the system is delivered fully operational and resolve complex technical issues during the project.
Other key activities involve:
- Coordinating and supervising commissioning activities on-site (site supervision);
- Optimizing configurations of components and systems;
- Resolving complex malfunctions and technical issues;
- Installing, testing, and optimizing control systems;
- Executing and supervising I/O tests and functional testing;
- Commissioning and validating machinery and installations;
- Coordinating with project managers and other disciplines;
- Maintaining intensive contact with the client regarding progress, planning, and technical choices;
- Supervising and conducting the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) together with the client;
- Training and instructing the client;
- Mentoring and training your junior colleagues;
- Drafting reports and final handover documentation;
- And of course, being a source of entertainment for your colleagues.
What do you need for this role?
For this position, we are looking for someone with technical insight and a healthy dose of guts. Whether you have two right hands or, as a lefty, two left hands, it doesn’t matter to us. What counts is that you know what you’re doing. You have at least a vocational degree (MBO 4) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Marine Officer, or a similar field and have already gained the necessary practical experience. Engineering is in your DNA; that much is clear.
You hold a valid category B driver’s license and work in a safe and responsible manner. You already possess certifications such as VCA VOL and NEN 3140 VP, or you are willing to obtain them through us. Experience with NEN 3840 VP is considered a distinct advantage.
Additionally, you are someone who works independently, thinks in terms of solutions, and takes ownership of your work. You communicate clearly with colleagues and clients and know exactly what is needed to get the job done right. You can be serious when the situation demands it, but you never lose your sense of humor. To us, that last part is just as important as your technical skills.
Where will you be working?
The TRIBE office is located in Houten, but we work on projects throughout the Netherlands and across the globe. We always plan these projects together with you, ensuring that travel time is minimized so you can fully enjoy your work, friends, family, and hobbies. Balance is key.
Or is this the role for you?
Once we receive your application, we’ll do our best to get to know you as well as possible, but above all, to introduce ourselves properly to you.
