What defines this as a medior role?

What can you expect from us?

At TRIBE, you work with a team of top technical talent and true specialists. We are headstrong and bold, no-nonsense, and all of us share a great sense of humor. Which is a good thing, since you will be spending a large part of your week with us. You could call us your chosen family. That is exactly what TRIBE stands for.

We look out for one another and don't have a stifling corporate culture with terrible bosses or boring management slogans. Work is fun, but fortunately, there is more to life. Balance is everything. That’s why we make sure you have plenty of room for relaxation outside of work. Work hard, play hard. Our projects are challenging, our outings are legendary, and we believe that staying fit and energized is essential to performing well. That’s why we provide a budget for a gym membership or other athletic activities. This way, you stay at your best, both mentally and physically.

Our Offer:

  • Salary Range: form -
  • 25 vacation days
  • Permanent contract
  • Bonus and certification program
  • Company car
  • Sportbudget
  • Training budget
  • Premium-grade tools
  • High-quality workwear and PPE
  • Exceptionally talented colleagues
  • Challenging projects
  • Epic team events and unlimited fun!

What will you be doing?

As a Medior Field Service Engineer at TRIBE, you will work largely independently and alongside colleagues when necessary on the servicing, maintenance, and technical support of industrial machinery and installations. You will perform activities at client locations and ensure that systems operate reliably and without malfunctions.

You will primarily be active in the execution phase and handle service and commissioning activities independently. For more complex technical issues, you will coordinate with a senior engineer or project management. You maintain a clear overview of your own activities and communicate independently with the client regarding progress and findings.

Other key activities involve:

  • Performing service, maintenance, and pre-commissioning activities;
  • Configuring and optimizing components;
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical malfunctions;
  • Installing and optimizing control systems;
  • Testing I/O and control system functions;
  • Commissioning and testing machinery and installations;
  • Identifying and reporting technical deviations;
  • Communicating with the client regarding activities and progress;
  • Drafting service and work reports;
  • And of course, being a source of entertainment for your colleagues.

What do you need for this role?

For this position, we are looking for someone with technical insight and a healthy dose of guts. Whether you have two right hands or, as a lefty, two left hands, it doesn’t matter to us. What counts is that you know what you’re doing. You have at least a vocational degree (MBO 4) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Marine Officer, or a similar field and have already gained significant practical experience (2-5 years). Engineering is in your DNA; that much is clear.

You hold a valid category B driver’s license and work in a safe and responsible manner. You already possess certifications such as VCA VOL and NEN 3140 VP, or you are willing to obtain them through us. Experience with NEN 3840 VP is considered a distinct advantage.

Additionally, you are someone who works independently, thinks in terms of solutions, and takes ownership of your work. You communicate clearly with colleagues and clients and know exactly what is needed to get the job done right. You can be serious when the situation demands it, but you never lose your sense of humor. To us, that last part is just as important as your technical skills.

Where will you be working?

The TRIBE office is located in Houten, but we work on projects throughout the Netherlands and across the globe. We always plan these projects together with you, ensuring that travel time is minimized so you can fully enjoy your work, friends, family, and hobbies. Balance is key.
